Ez az album meglehetosen rossz kritikakat kapott, es erzem is, hogy miert. Tenyleg nem egyseges album, sem zeneileg, sem a szovegeles szempontjabol. Rock, blues, R'n'b, hiphop, es alternativ rock kavarodik benne, mindenfele rendszer vagy atvezetes nelkul. Nehol par mondatos hiphop versek, nehol csak "yeaah hah yeah" szintu dudolas, es nehol a megszokott komoly Mos Def rap hallatszik. Utana pedig nyugtatos-kellemes (jol van, enyhen talan tul nyalas) Sting-Eric Clapton-Elton John kollaboraciok, es tipikus zongoras Hornsby dalok. Van rajta egy vicces Randy Newman stilusu dal is, What The Hell Happened cimmel, de addigra gyakran elalszom. Ez a legkevesbe "cool" zene amit mostanaban hallgatni szoktam, de neha ilyen is kell.

Filmek

Rengeteg filmet is megneztem mostansag, mivel a DVDRent.hu elegedett felhasznaloja vagyok. Egyik szereplo sem hatarozhato meg egy mondattal, mint manapsag, es bar sok mindent lehet sejteni, nem az egyertelmu es mindent lezaro happy end fele hajt a befejezes egyiknel sem. Meglepo modon ezek ugyanugy "mainstream" sikerfilmek voltak annakidejen. Nekem is, es a felesegemnek is nagyon tetszettek ezek a filmek. Utana meg orakig lehet beszelni roluk, nem ugy mint a legtobb mai sikerfilmnel. Burn Hollywood Burn ahogy a kolto mondja ;-)

Az Anderson Tapes egy kicsit mas teszta. Ez is 1971-es film, szerepel benne Sean Connery (a James Bond utan latvanyosan paroka nelkul), es ez Christopher Walken egyik elso mozifilmje. A felesegem szerint elkepesztoen szar film, borzaszto, ertelmetlen tortenettel, idiota szereplokkel, es idegesito zenevel. Ezt mind el tudom fogadni, de engem ettol fuggetlenul valahogy megfogott a film hangulata. Nem is igazan tudom megmagyarazni, hogy miert, de valahogy a suta szereplek, a kinos precizitassal beallitott lepcsohazfelvetelek, es Quincy Jones elektronikus pruttyogesbol allo, sokkoloan nem funky zeneje ellenere elveztem az egeszet. Tetszett a soksok remego kezikameras mai filmet megelozve meglepoen realis benazos de nem vigjateki rendorsegi akcio, az ironia, a szinek, a nemtorodom, vegletekig elszant karakterek, es Sean Connery folyamatosan fortyogo, kegyetlen figuraja.
